
By car
The Modena Apennines and Mount Cimone can be reached from the “Autostrada del Sole” motorway (A1/E35), exit Modena Nord (Modena North) to directly reach the towns and villages towards the west (via the A road “strada statale Nuova Estense”); exit Modena Sud (Modena South) to reach the towns and villages more towards the east, following the signs for Vignola.
From Tuscany, from the Pistoia exit of the A11 motorway “Autostrada FirenzeMare”, continue northwards either crossing the Abetone Pass or carrying on to Porretta Terme.

By train
The nearest train stations are in Modena and Pistoia. Bus services link Bologna, Modena, Pavullo nel Frignano, Florence and Pistoia with the main local tourist towns and villages of the Modena Apennines. Arriving from Bologna, it is possible to take the suburban train which links Bologna to Vignola. From here there are local buses to continue your onward journey.

By plane
The nearest airports are "Guglielmo Marconi" in Bologna, approximately 70 kilometres away, and "Amerigo Vespucci" in Florence, 80 kilometres away, and "Galileo Galilei” in Pisa, 101 kilometres away.
